WACommand - Command Line Redirector for Winamp

Home The Plug-ins Plug-in Releases Plug-in Pack News / Updates Other Projects Contact / Donations

Here you can find my modified versions of WACommand which was originally developed by Phil Himsworth.
Note: As of August 2010 it appears the original page is down but a copy can be accessed from archive.org here so you can see the original work, etc.

But what is WACommand, well as the original author wrote...
It's simple, it lets me control winamp from the little multimedia buttons on my keyboard. Basically it lets you control winamp from the command line.

An updated WACommand command list can be found here which covers the modifications i made to the program.

  • Added the /startmin and /startmax switches
  • Tweaked slightly the help dialog shown when no (valid) switch is passed
  • Altered the installer to place the readme/help files in a WACommand folder in the root of the Winamp install and not loose
  • Fixed the installer to not close Winamp (wasn't needed and is due to my use of a common script)
  • Added /load <file or playlist> option
  • Added /clear option
  • Tweaked compiler options to cut the exe size to 7k
  • Repackaged the source and files into a full installer
