This will add the plug-in name to the end of it's description on the preference pages Winamp does not do natively (General Purpose and Media Library for example). It also allows alphabetical sorting of the plug-in lists.

This was all done from a comment in the Playlist Loader plug-in thread (note: Playlist Loader is now deprecated as explained here) though the plug-in has now developed on from there to also help with determining issues with Winamp and the plug-ins installed.

Nowadays, along with the handling of the plug-in preference pages, the plug-in can create a text listing (my_plugin_list.txt) of all of the currently installed plug-ins which Winamp was able to completely load. The my_plugin_list.txt file is saved in the settings folder specifed in the paths.ini file which is usually %appdata%\Winamp (enter into Explorer to browse to there).

In addition to the general plug-in list which this plug-in can generate, the following reports are also available which can help to determine which plug-in is responsible for a format or if it is likely to be the cause of Winamp's display of unicode in the taskbar not working:

my_extension_list.txtmy_plugin_compat_list.txtmy_unicode_fail_list.txt
Shows you the supported file types and the input plug-in related to them Shows the apis input plug-ins support to work with the Winamp client Shows any plug-ins which do not support Winamp's unicode taskbar support

All reports can be generated in their own file (as detailed above) or you can run all reports at once where they are then all saved into my_plugin_list.txt. An example of a complete my_plugin_list.txt (all reports run) can be found here.

One for Nunz can also provide a list of plug-ins for troubleshooting purposes in the Winamp forums...

In most if not all cases, providing a list of all plug-ins installed can help to diagnose many problems you may be having with Winamp. You can use the One for Nunz plug-in (gen_nunzio.dll) to produce a list of all (1st & 3rd party) plug-ins installed.

Install the plug-in, open Winamp, go to: Prefs > Plug-ins > General Purpose > One For Nunz > Config

Checkmark "Open text file once generated" (if not already checked)
Click "Config" again
Then click: "Generate all listings (as below)

or

With One for Nunz selected, hold the control key down and click "Config"
(This will generate all reports)

When Notepad opens, save the file (via: File menu -> Save As) and attach my_plugin_list.txt
(location: Winamp settings directory - enter %appdata%\Winamp into Explorer) in a zip file along with your HijackThis and dxdiag logs (if required).

Attach this file to your post in the Winamp forums for troubleshooting purposes.

If you can't get Winamp to open and therefore can't use the One For Nunz plug-in to generate the list of plug-ins, then you can use this standalone version instead (nunz.exe). Place nunz.exe in the Winamp folder (where winamp.exe is), double click nunz.exe, and a my_plugin_list_ext.txt file will appear in the Winamp folder. Attach this file to your post in the Winamp forums for troubleshooting purposes.

Note that the standalone version (nunz.exe) generated log is a much more basic version that just lists the actual plug-in filenames, so unless you can't get Winamp to load at all, then always use the One For Nunz plug-in version (gen_nunzio.dll) instead.
